Senior Associate Financial Planner Role

This role is not a sales role, does not require sales experience, and has no sales quotas. The Senior Associate Financial Planner is responsible for collaborating with Financial Advisors to prepare recommendations, financial plans, and other client follow-up items. This responsibility may include maintaining client records, occasional data gathering, and application form preparation and submission. While this position is not a sales role, the Senior Associate Financial Planner will also be in frequent contact through phone conversations and emails with clients, centers of influence, and prospective clients.
Responsibilities include:
• Drafting financial plans to include gathering data
• Performing asset allocation analyses
• Creating custom analyses of financial decisions
• Preparing presentation materials for client meetings
• Researching investments and
• Answering routine client questions and service requests
• Calling clients and following up with prospective clients
• Answering basic questions for clients and deferring complex questions to advisors
• Showing clients how to access their accounts and read statements
• Handle transfers of funds requests in and out of accounts
• Enters or updates cost basis information
• Fills out necessary forms for opening or maintaining accounts
• Interfaces with the broker-dealer or custodian to obtain information or account data and convey service requests
• Maintains data in the CRM system
• Sets up and retrieves reports in the portfolio management system
• Assists in generating performance reports and quarterly reporting
Requirements:
• Series 65, Series 63, CFP, or CPA
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related fields.
• Three to five years of experience working at a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA)
• Comfortable speaking with clients and prospects over the phone or in-person
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic networker
• Mastery of the financial planning process
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must
• Working knowledge with Portfolio Center, Morningstar, and financial planning software is a plus
• Business development skills are a plus
